To view some pet portraits I have done, click here Pets come in a variety of forms from cats, dogs, and fish, to birds, turtles, and iguanas.....just to name a few! They are an extension of our family and some of our dearest friends and confidantes. You can commission a portrait of your pet on canvas, wood, or paper. The painting will not always be a exact replica as I paint in my own style, but it will resemble you pet friend with their own personality. In order for me to get the most accurate portrayal of your pet, I will need at least 2 clear photos...more if you have them and they will be returned along with the completed portrait.  Here's the list of things I need in order to paint the pet portrait:  Pet's Name  Sex  Most pets have unique markings that may not show up in the photos, so I would ask that you please include a description of those markings.  Special details and/or stories about your pet friend and how you view their personality to be If you would like their name painted on the painting, please let me know. Preference of canvas, wood, or paper.  Your preference of a cartoon type painting or more realistic type

Should you want to have a painting with specific elements, colors, etc., contact me at connieblack@mchsi.com to see if it's something I can create for you. If I don't feel I can meet your needs, I'll put you in touch with an artist who probably can.

My Schedule:
There is usually a waiting list of somewhere between 1-3 months for commissioned paintings so if your painting is needed by a certain date, please email me prior to ordering to make sure I can fit you in to meet your timeframe.

Upon receipt of your 50% deposit along with confirmation of details, I will add your order to my schedule, (i.e., if my schedule is booked "through August", your commission will be scheduled to begin in September ). Please refer to the Commissions Page for details of the process. Pricing will vary depending on size and type desired.
